The neighbouring village of Seahouses comes with a delightful fishing harbour and you can take boat trips across to The Farne Islands. Further afield is the charming market town of Alnwick which boasts Alnwick Castle as one of its best attractions. This castle is home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland and it was used as a filming location for the Harry Potter films and Downtown Abbey.
