The property

34 The Wharfage is a Grade-II listed, detached house in the heart of Ironbridge in Telford. Sleeping up to eight people, this traditional house is suitable for large families or friends seeking an escape in Shropshire. There is gated off-road parking for three cars and an enclosed front patio area with greenery designed for dog's and children's safety. On the ground floor, you will find a convenient king-size bedroom. There is also a family shower room downstairs, with a marble basin functionally placed just outside. The kitchen is well-equipped and features a woodburning stove and a range cooker, perfect for trying out some Shropshire pudding recipes. The sitting room is home to another woodburning stove and ample seating, ideal for unwinding in front of the Smart TV. The dining area has additional seating, providing space to spend quality time with the family. Be careful on the stairs, as there is a low ceiling and exposed beams, which is a feature throughout this home that oozes character and is enhanced by the original varnished flooring. All three bedrooms upstairs have exposed beams and sloping ceilings. These include a compact king-size, a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and a twin room with a cute window offering a view of the town, along with an additional family shower room upstairs. This home is right in the heart of Ironbridge, with plenty of activities just a stone's throw away. The Museum of The Gorge is a small, fact-filled museum nearby, with views of the river and the Iron Bridge. For a larger museum, the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands is a great choice, featuring Cold War hangars, air shows, and food festivals hosted each year -so be sure to check the dates. Enjoy Blists Hill Victorian Town, where staff play their part in immersing visitors in the Victorian era with period costumes. You may also encounter some majestic Shire horses there. National Trust Attingham is an 18th-century estate with beautiful flowers and greenery in the walled garden, a serene deer park, and a swanky tearoom where you can ponder life back in the 18th century. Escape to 34 The Wharfage for treasured family time and traditional experiences.
