The property

This is a delightful one bedroom semi-detached cottage, situated in the pretty village of Bradwell, in the beautiful Peak District National Park. Beautifully converted throughout, this compact cottage is the ideal base for a couple on a romantic break to enjoy what the stunning area has to offer. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with a beamed ceiling, comfortable sofa and small dining table, just perfect for a romantic meal which can be prepared in the compact but well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs, there is a beautifully decorated bedroom with a comfortable double bed, as well as a modern bathroom benefiting from a bath, a welcome addition for soothing tired legs after a day walking the surrounding beautiful countryside.
Outside, there is a rear enclosed garden with furniture and views over the open fields and hills, and Smithy Cottage also benefits from a sought after parking space. Bradwell village offers the convenience of three pubs all serving home-cooked meals, an award-winning restaurant, the Samuel Fox Country Inn, as well as a local supermarket, Post Office, bakery and fish and chip shop!
There are lots of countryside walks available from the doorstep and the popular village of Castleton is a short drive away, with its visitor centre and famous Blue John Caverns. Discover the majestic beauty of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, visiting the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell, and for the youngsters (or the young at heart!) Alton Towers can be reached in just under an hour. This lovely cottage provides a perfect romantic retreat for exploring all the beautiful Peak District National Park at any time of the year.
