The pretty village of Hartington, complete with a charming duck pond, a traditional cheese shop and other interesting shops and inns, is a short drive away. The charming, cobbled village of Longnor is also within easy reach, offering a couple of village shops and a traditional pub where you can treat your guests to a tasty pub lunch. Nearby is the charming village of Leek, which is home to a good selection of fantastic walks through its surrounding lush Moorland countryside. Wander through the town where you will find a charming selection of independent shops, leisure facilities and the Brindley Water Mill Museum where you can brush up history in the fascinating setting of a mid-18th-ventury restored and working mill. The Manifold and Dove Valleys and Tissington Trail offer beautiful scenery for those looking for walking and cycling trails, and the spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, plus Alton Towers are also all within easy reach.
