On entrance to the cottage, guests are greeted with the sitting area and a decorative fireplace with stone surround for a homely feel. There’s also WiFi and a TV, so guests can keep themselves occupied after a day out. Also on the ground floor is the kitchen/diner that seats up to four, with a gas hob oven with a grill. Guests will also find a fridge, washing machine and microwave. There are two double bedrooms located on the first floor, both contain wardrobes and bedside tables. The bathroom contains a bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. One pet is welcome and road parking is available for guests. At the rear of the cottage is the patio area, with garden furniture and offers stunning views of the local countryside. Youlgreave is situated between the Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale valleys. The village has three pubs located within it, and there are also a couple of shops and medieval church. Guests are recommended to visit the market town of Bakewell, which is just four miles away, where guests will find fantastic restaurants, pubs and shops to visit. The Peak District National Park is also close by, with the stately homes of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Clarke Abbey all worth paying a visit. There are also plenty of hiking routes available, for those who enjoy the great outdoors. Further afield, guests could venture into other towns such as Buxton and Castleton, or even visit the Kinder Scout National Nature Reserve, all of which are less than an hour’s drive away. Hikers won’t be short of places to explore, with several routes worth taking into consideration, including the Mam Tor, a three-mile hike that provides stunning views of the Edale Valley.
