The property

Tucked away on a quiet side street, a stone's throw away from the heart of the charming market town of Much Wenlock, Shropshire rests this beautiful holiday home, The Wheatlands. This property has been built to an exceptionally high standard of quality and design and boasts a luxurious contemporary interior. The Wheatlands can comfortably accommodate family and friends alike looking to explore the delights of the picturesque Shropshire countryside. Kick off your shoes as you enter the hallway before continuing through to the open-plan living area, flooded with light welcomed in through the elegant bifold doors. The stylish kitchen includes fully integrated appliances built to a deluxe specification, wooden dining table with seating for six and a snug lounge area, offering a sociable space to gather with your loved ones after an adventure-filled day. Stepping outside, the well-maintained garden provides a tranquil setting to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining in the warmer weather or indulge in a glass of fizz under the delightful canopy of the stars. When it's time to rest your head, venture back inside where the ground-floor offers two bedrooms as well as a modern shower room, ideal for guests with limited mobility, offering the choice between a king-size room, where guests can wake up as the sun rises and fills the room with light welcomed through the patio doors, or a twin room with two sumptuous single beds. Climb the stairs where you'll find a third bedroom, a spacious king-size, alongside a contemporary family bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and a bath, where you can enjoy a leisurely soak amongst the bubbles or a quick morning rinse. Take a break from doing the cooking and take a short stroll into the heart of Much Wenlock, where you'll be spoilt for choice with a host of cafes, pubs and takeaways on your doorstep, or if you'd prefer, visit the family-run butchers, a favourite with locals, to pick up some fresh produce to prepare in the comfort of your holiday home. Visit the quirky town of Bridgnorth, split in two halves by the flowing waters of The River Severn, where you can travel between the High and Low towns aboard the funicular railway alongside the towering limestone cliff, exploring the ancient remains of Bridgnorth Castle and the collection of heritage steam-hauled locomotives on display at Severn Valley Railway. Head further afield to the vibrant town of Shrewsbury, the birthplace of Charles Darwin and home to the second most haunted jail in the world, where visitors can take a fascinating guided tour through the empty cells. History buffs can explore the military artefacts on display at Soldiers of Shropshire Museum or if that's not your thing, head to Pride Hill Shopping Centre for a spot of window shopping. Or take a boat trip “Sabrina” along the winding River Severn to view the historic bridges and acres of scenic parkland known locally as The Quarry. If you’re looking for a more active walking break, look no further. Designated an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) in 1958, the Shropshire hills have numerous National Parks, the Stiperstones is one of which. A distinctive hill with a quartzite ridge located within the South Shropshire hills, it is a National Nature Reserve and area of scientific interest. The varied and beautiful landscape of the rolling Shropshire hills and valleys attract avid walkers and nature enthusiasts from across the whole of the country. The bustling medieval town of Ludlow is well worth a visit - famous for the expansive historical Ludlow castle, St. Laurence’s church, and of course the annual food festival. It also has over 500 listed buildings as well as the eclectic Ludlow market. For the aviation buffs among you, the museum at RAF Cosford offers a fun day out for all the family providing an outstanding display of aviation history, illustrated through a fantastic display of aircraft and exhibits. Treat your loved ones to a tranquil retreat to the countryside with a stay at The Wheatland, with all the delights of Shropshire on your doorstep.
