There are many excellent walks in and around Taddington with lots of hidden treasures to explore in the many surrounding villages and dales. Many have traditional pubs serving excellent food and real ales. In Taddington the Queens Arms is under new ownership and offers an extensive high quality menu and a varying range of real ales. The Trans Peak bus stop is just 30 yards away, providing car free access to many local places of interest, walks, villages, towns and cities.The Monsal, High Peak and Tissington Trails are all close by for cycling or walking. Taddington is situated between Buxton, with its Opera House and wonderful architecture, and Bakewell, which is home of the Bakewell Pudding and local cattle market. Not too far away are the stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and all around are the delights of the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales.
