The idyllic window seat is a lovely place to while away the time, gazing out to the Gilkin Hills. The Sidings sits by the heritage railway, with the occasional steam train tootling by, adding to the atmosphere without being intrusive. Wirksworth is an easy place to fall in love with and is a very special town with a reputation for inspiring creativity, luring artists and designers. This is a great all year round holiday destination as within a short drive of Wirksworth, you can be wandering the lovely streets of Ashbourne, admiring the breathtaking views in a cable car to Abraham Heights, or sailing on Carsington Water. Rock climbing, cycling and walking of all levels can be enjoyed at nearby Black Rocks and High Peak Trail.
