You will instantly be filled with joy as you enter the cottage into a brilliantly bright kitchen/diner, with yellow tiles and a vibrant Rayburn cooker to match, this room is a spacious area ideal for home cooking and enjoying your morning coffee, fit with a farmhouse table to add to the traditional character of the property. Off the sunny kitchen and dining area, head up three stairs and into the sitting room, with a snug open fire, gather here in the winter months with a hot chocolate and a book to enjoy the true tranquillity of the property, or in the summer months the back garden makes a great spot for unwinding on the patio while the dogs run around on the expansive lawns. Upstairs you can find the two bedrooms, with the master bedroom up three stairs from the second floor, these rooms offer ultimate privacy as well as being beautifully furnished, with traditional wooden doors and a timber frame rooftop, there’s no better place to enjoy the stunning views of the countryside.The outside area is the perfect place for an animal lover, with horse stables and kennels, feel free to bring your own furry friends along to enjoy the holiday with you, with a bridleway and wonderful walking routes at the back of the property. Walk to the village of Withypool along the bridleway to visit the Royal Oak pub or shop. Take an afternoon stroll with a picnic to the fishing lake a short walk away, fit with a fire pit for a day of family fun of nature spotting and sun soaking. Fishing can also be found along the river below the cottage, but be sure to bring your rod licence.For a longer walk and the chance to explore the scenes of Somerset, head to the Tarr Steps Woodland National Nature Reserve, whether you’re visiting for a short stroll or a full day of hiking, this beautiful area is well worth a visit. For the history lover, take a trip to the coast where you can find Dunster Castle, a National Trust area boasting dramatic scenes of an ancient castle with 1,000 years of history, subtropical gardens and even a steam train; a fabulous day trip for all the family.
