The property

A well-presented detached bungalow situated in the hamlet of Norton Ferris, Wiltshire, within the Cranborne Chase AONB. This tastefully furnished holiday home sits next door to the owner's farmhouse and barns and is ideal for friends and families looking to discover this beautiful area.

Inside, there is masses of space and different rooms for the family to spend time together. A well-equipped kitchen with electric range cooker means that quality food can be prepared and meals can be eaten either in the breakfast area or in the separate dining room. The light and airy sitting room, which seats the whole family, is an ideal place to flop in front of the TV after a day of adventure in the Wiltshire countryside. From the dining area in the conservatory will love the outdoor games in the garden and adults will have plenty of seating for relaxing in front of the incredible views of the downs and meadows with deer roaming, hares playing and birds singing.

Five welcoming bedrooms await, all beautifully presented with a different countryside theme: one king-size double, two double bedrooms and two twin rooms. For guest comfort there are two bathrooms and a cloakroom.

Locally, you can take a gentle stroll along the nearby rural footpaths, take a short drive to the National Trust's magnificent Stourhead house and award-winning gardens or visit Longleat House and Safari Park. Within easy reach is the charming hilltop town of Shaftesbury, probably most well-known as the setting for the iconic Hovis advert, filmed on its steep Gold Hill. Further afield, but still easily accessible, is the stunning cathedral city of Salisbury, as well as Wilton House, Stonehenge and the beautiful city of Bath, whilst the scenic Dorset coast also offers a lovely day out. A charming cottage, Downs View offers a super base from which to tour this fascinating area.
