Outside, the rear garden enjoys a tranquil view of the church and surrounding fields, where you can watch the sun set from the decking area. First floor twin bedroom adjacent to bathroom/toilet, and second floor family room with a standard double and single bed and computer desk. Montacute has an array of historic landmarks, such as Priory Dovecote, Abbey Farmhouse, and Montacute House and Gardens, owned by the National Trust. Good food is served at the NT Courtyard Café and two village pubs, all at walking distance. Walks from the doorstep into the historic parkland, woodland and Ham Hill Country Park. Multiple car parks on the hill near the visitor centre, with spectacular sunsets over the West Country. More National Trust spots nearby are Tintinhull Garden, Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor. Yeovil is easily accessed by car, offering a wide range of amenities, eateries and shopping as well as Ninesprings Country Park. Further afield are the Somerset Moors and Levels around Glastonbury, Dorset National Landscape, the Blackdown Hills and the World Heritage Sites of Bath, Stonehenge and Jurassic Coast.
