Summary

Feedback highlights included a beautiful location, spacious home, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. However, cleanliness concerns were noted, such as cobwebs and unclean drawers. Parking access was challenging for larger vehicles, and there were some issues with the garden being enclosed. Overall, a good stay with room for improvement.

The property

Tree Tops is a bright, modern, family home located in the stunning town of Newport, Pembrokeshire. In a quiet spot at the end of a private drive, and enjoying sea views, it is at the heart of Newport and perfect for families and friends (and four-legged friends) looking for an escape.
Your holiday begins once you step into the spacious living/dining room with an open plan kitchen, flooded with light from the floor-to-ceiling windows allowing panoramic sea views. Dine indoors with friends and family or on the terrace in the enclosed garden. Relax in the comfortable seating area or retire upstairs to watch your favourite TV programme in the second sitting room. After unwinding with a steaming shower or bath, retreat to one of five bedrooms, and watch the sun set below the ocean before heading to bed for the night.
Your home-from-home is just a brief walk into the heart of the town where you can enjoy coffee or brunch at Tides Kitchen and Wine Bar, Pwnc café or at Blas at Fronlas, before spending the day at Newport Sands. Alternatively, take a leisurely walk in the sea air along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with its breathtaking views across the north Pembrokeshire coastline. For the adventurous hikers in the group, head up to Carningli and into the mythical Preseli Hills, for a stunning view of the Cardigan Bay coastline.
Take a short drive out of the town where the history buffs of the group will enjoy a visit to the reconstructed Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and the picture postcard 5,500-year-old Neolithic Burial Chamber at Pentre Ifan.
Head further north to the market town of Cardigan where you can visit Cardigan Castle - the birthplace of the Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176. Alternatively, wildlife lovers can enjoy all that nature has to offer at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran and take to the open water on a boat for a chance to spot the resident dolphins that reside in Cardigan Bay.
At the end of your day, head back to Newport where a delicious meal awaits in the Castle Inn, the Golden Lion or one of Newport's many excellent eateries. Newport and the surrounding area is rich in arts and cultural activities. Newport itself has several galleries, showing the work of local artists and craftspeople. The Newport Music Society holds regular concerts at the Memorial Hall.
A few miles away in Fishguard, the Fishguard Music Festival runs for two weeks at the end of July, with local and visiting musicians of international reputation. In August, Fishguard is the home of the AberJazz festival. St David’s Cathedral is the regular setting for outstanding concerts. At Rhosygilwen near Cardigan, you’ll find a stunning modern venue which hosts concerts and performances throughout the year. Cardigan is home to Theatr Mwldan, The Small World Theatre and Cardigan Castle where you can enjoy a variety of cultural events including classical music, folk, art exhibitions, poetry and workshops.
For a fantastic Welsh coastal holiday, offering something for everyone, Tree Tops is waiting.
