The property

Bowkers Cottage is a charming and characterful, 300-year-old cottage resting in Westhope, a quaint village in Herefordshire. The property overlooks countryside views and comes equipped with a summer house, an open fire, and off-road parking for two cars, ideal for a group of friends or a family getaway. Inside, you can admire the exposed beams that branch across walls that have housed more stories than the TV in the sitting room. Find quiet productivity in the summer house office as the kids explore the greenery of the garden through the window. When sleep beckons, fall into a double, twin, or adult bunk bed waiting to catch you, and drift off to countryside views calling to be explored. This cottage is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and beyond. The quiet lanes around Westhope are ideal for both walkers and cyclists. A half-mile walk (or drive) will take you up to Westhope Common, where you can enjoy panoramic views from the Black Mountains to the Malvern Hills and beyond. Nearby, you can visit Leominster, known for its antique and curiosity shops, or Pembridge, nestled at the heart of the Black and White villages of North Herefordshire. This area has some excellent pubs and restaurants serving locally sourced food, real ale, and of course, cider. The Bush Bank Inn is within a mile of the cottage. Travel a bit further to the city of Hereford, the beautiful market town of Ludlow, or via Hay on Wye to the Black Mountains. Head to Worcester to travel through history in Charles II’s former headquarters at The Commandery, stroll a scenic path through Chapter Meadows, and observe beauty in Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum. Or travel a bit further to explore the extraordinary sights of Shropshire Hills National Landscape. The adventures are endless—start them with a stay at Bowkers Cottage.
