As the evening comes to a close, freshen up in the bathroom with choice of bath and shower over before retiring to either of the bedrooms; there is a double and a twin with zip/link beds. At the rear of the property is a small patio with table, chairs and barbecue, perfect for enjoying a grilled feast in the summer months. On-site there are some facilities; take a splash in the outdoor pool, allow the children to explore the play area or cast your rod in one of the fishing lakes. Head out the park and within two miles there are two pubs, The Holly Blue and The Red Lion, where you can enjoy a pint and traditional pub fare, whilst there are two garden centres just outside the park which offer cafés and farmshops. The village of Pevensey is close and is home to Pevensey Castle, one of the last remaining ‘Saxon Shore’ forts, whilst slightly further along lies Eastbourne, where you can enjoy beach days, explore the Victorian pier and a host of amusements, the Towner Art Gallery, the historic Redoubt Fortress and the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway. Alternatively, travel to the historic town of Hastings; here you can tour Hastings Castle and Hastings Museum and Art Gallery. Lilyrose Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Southern England.
