The friendly village of Newtonmore offers good local services and shops and if you fancy a spot of golf you are just two minutes walk away from the clubhouse. The Cairngorms National Park offers so much in terms of outdoor pursuits and sight-seeing at all times of the year. If you are tempted to climb a few Munros then Alvey House is within one hours drive of over 50 Munros and just 30 minutes away is the CairnGorm Mountain, a skiers paradise. If you prefer some wildlife watching then Insh Marshes is one of the most important wetlands in Europe and ospreys, hen harriers and many more birds can be regularly seen.
