West Lodge

West Lodge is a unique and historic building, dating back to the early 1800’s.
The detached is one of a pair of listed gate lodges which stand at the entrance to the West Park Estate (see also East Lodge-Ref. 988986).
West Lodge has been completely refurbished and imaginatively extended to provide unusual and highly desirable holiday accommodation, graded 4 stars and given a Gold Award by Visit England.
Inside, the property is stylishly furnished and all the accommodation is on ground floor level, with bright and attractive octagonal shaped rooms.
A really unique and special place to stay.
The Lodges at West Park are situated at one end of the picturesque ancient village of Rockbourne. A walk through the village takes you past many thatched brick and timber cottages alongside the bourne (stream). The Rose and Thistle pub is at the other end, a stroll back could include a visit to the 11th/12th century church of Saint Andrew with its flint structure and tiled roof. The famous Rockbourne Roman Villa is a short walk away from the lodges.

Very attractive and unusual property in beautiful countryside and superb pub nearby too. Convenient for Salisbury - a proper country bolt hole!

PLEASE NOTE: Changeover days are FRIDAYS and MONDAYS, For any other days, please enquire. Note: This property only accepts minimum 3 night stays. All ground floor. Entrance hallway with a door through to the garden. One bedroom with a super king size bed, chest of drawers and built in wardrobe. Airy bathroom with bath and an over-the-bath shower.
Open plan living/dining/kitchen area with an outlook over the garden with woodland views. Living area has an open fireplace, window seat, sofa, dining table/chairs. The French windows open out onto the patio and garden. Fitted kitchen area with fan oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The bedroom has a fitted carpet, the remainder of the property has stone tiles with underfloor heating. Outside paved patio with a garden table and chairs, the garden comprises a mown grass area, a wild grass bank leading to a beech hedge with woodland beyond

Underfloor heating with open fireplace. Oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, TV, WIFI. Fuel and power inc in rent. Bed linen and towels included in rent. Hairdryer and iron provided. Paved private courtyard garden with garden table and chairs, BBQ available. Off road parking. Pets welcome. Walking distance to three popular pubs. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 0.75 miles. Homemade meals, breakfast hamper and delivery of local produce by arrangement with the owner. Note: This property is more suited to adults but babies are welcome. Note: one well behaved pet welcome.
